Supporting Oncologic Research

Established thru a commitment by Mr. Rangos in 2001, the John G. Rangos Sr. Professorship of Adult Medicine at Johns Hopkins Medicine’s Gastroenterology Division supports research initiatives in colon cancer research. Mr. Rangos has referred hundreds of friends and colleagues to physicians at Johns Hopkins. “They’ve all come back with great results because doctors at Hopkins truly care,” he said. Dr. Francis Giardiello, professor of medicine, oncology and pathology at JHM, is the program’s inaugural and current professor. Dr. Giardiello is widely regarded as an authority on polyposis syndromes. He has received the Hopkins Alumni Association’s award for excellence in teaching, and has been listed in “The Best Doctors in America.”
